Purpose Statement

Honor Scriptures  Always & Forever

Principal  & Foremost  Major & Primary

First & Last   Best & Finest

In All Things

A Growing Library of New Testament books

with in depth verse-by-verse analysis

To build faith, love and trust in God

For joy of Scriptures

For more love toward God

For Spiritual growth through the Spirit

To become more Scripture centered in our thinking

All eyes on Scriptures, they have a voice that should be heard.

We wish Scriptures to explain themselves

To be faithful to the text, the words and the context,

is our primary and only goal.

There is no desire to make a passage fit a specific doctrine

There is no effort to force an interpretation

Scripture's should be allowed to create their own influences

It is our purpose to offer simple, deeply spiritual, easy to read guides to NT Scriptures. Not scholastically oriented with footnotes from hundreds of other authors.  We do not use AI, will not use AI, for analysis of Scripture, for "in Christ you have been brought to fullness" (Col 2:10). AI is the combined wisdom of men, who may not be writing with the "love of the Spirit" (Col 1:8), in their hearts and thus cannot be trusted.

It is a free-flowing commentary that is not controlled by any outside pressures of employment or approval of religious authorities. With a single commitment to be faithful to what the text is teaching, as best as we can.

Often, we gain new and better understanding of a section in Scriptures, as time passes. As we spend more time in prayer with Scriptures.  It would be against our conscience to twist a verse, to make it teach what we want it to say. As clear as our purposes are, we know that we are all influenced by our upbringings, our education and the friends of loyalty we have in life.

It is our purpose to be very thorough as opposed to being brief, in discovery of the deeper meanings of each verse.

All texts quoted are from the New International Version of the Bible, unless otherwise noted. The NIV is not a perfect translation, yet is it smooth to read, containing words that are easy to grasp. We have noted when we disagree with the NIV or the NKJV of the Bible.

“Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit” (2 Cor 2:17). Instead like Paul who said, “we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone, while we preached the gospel of God to you” (1 Thess 2:9). We offer no place to send us money.

Paul told the church, “For what we preach is not ourselves” (2 Cor 4:5). We do not believe that Scriptures should be taught as a personality driven message. That is where everything centers around the speaker-director or the teacher of the lesson. When they make their life the example to follow.  We have attended many services where the speaker dwells more on themselves than Scriptures. This is poor preaching, attended with very little results. Once we attended a four-part seminar on Romans. The speaker barely mentioned Romans but spent more time talking about himself and how rich in business, property and employees he had, which he claims was the blessing of God on himself. This is anti-gospel. It is not the example of Jesus or His apostles.

We have made every effort to consider Scriptures on their own, not to be influenced by church creeds, doctrines, which demand loyalty to their views and narratives.

We are not sponsored by any religious or secular society. Neither is it our desire to speak against any church or denomination. Negative views are seldom given in love, or truthful and fair. All we wish is to honor Scriptures, the best we can, the clearest way we can, a task that we often fail it. Are not told that the "Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim 3:15).

We do not, we never will, claim to be the final word to any passage we may discuss. There is always room for more understanding and wisdom that the Spirit gives to readers like you.

We are never fully satisfied with what we have written, there is always further insight to be learned. The Word is a living plant, which must be rooted not just in the page, but also in our hearts. Thus, we wish all to have absolute loyalty to context and instruction of the Word. Any change to the text to please a preconceived idea is dangerous.

May God help you the reader not to draw any conclusions, other then what the text teaches. There are many novel ideas that gain notoriety, but they are not instructive.

This is an ongoing work. Often, we frequently add additions or subtractions to a passage, as newer understandings appear.

There are flaws in our grammar, spelling and sentence structures, we freely admit. Every day, it seems, we find new ways to reword a sentence and correct a spelling.

There will always be a need for more understanding and wisdom to discern the lessons written by the Spirit in the pages of the NT, because the Word is alive. It must be written in hearts, through the Spirit. The Word must often be written with tears and wet eyes.

Any reader may borrow our work, for teaching, preaching, or sharing. Our work is not copyrighted. Yet we request that you not use our work for profit, this is not right. If you wish to reprint larger sections for anything other than non-commercial use, send your request to our email at honorscriptures@gmail.com

If you wish to agree or disagree with our Biblical analyzes, send a note of observations that you find. We welcome all discussions because no one has the final word. We all have spiritual blindness and biases; thus, we need each other.

Signed: By our team that love Scriptures and wish to honor them--forever and always. For the glory of God.
